My Philosophy

As a college student, I began working with and traveling to other countries with a best-selling author to regions of the world that were food insecure and had limited access to healthcare. I soon realized parts of the United States faced the same issues. This left an indelible impression on me and shaped the course of my studies.  I started to work at the grassroots level teaching children’s gardening and working with families teaching them how to grow their own food at a botanical garden. It was very rewarding work. I went on to learn many more ways to help community members create a healthier lifestyle through eating healthier, massage and wellness and now through Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I have been strongly influenced by the work of Dr. Paul Farmer (sadly he recently passed away), who was a champion of global access to healthcare to communities and countries (like Haiti). It is this sort of inspiration that fuels my desire to help. Everyone deserves access to healthcare.

I love working at the grassroots level in communities. I love to educate and teach classes and workshops making Traditional Chinese medicine more accessible. This medicine has so much to offer and is so engaging, practical and amazing. Traditional Chinese Medicine encompasses everything that I love: health, diet, nutrition etc. It treats the whole body, whole family which in turn makes the community stronger, healthier so that everyone in it thrives. Our health is the most precious thing we own. I look forward to meeting you.
